Brian’s Education, Volunteer Work
Brian Casella pursued his education in technical theater and lighting design at Western Connecticut State University, where he developed a strong foundation in stage production, lighting technology, and visual storytelling. While attending, he specialized in lighting design, gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment and working on a variety of live productions. In addition to his theater studies, Brian earned a degree in Electrical Design and Management, further expanding his expertise in power systems, control technologies, and project coordination. This combination of creative and technical training has equipped him with a unique skill set that bridges the worlds of theatrical artistry and electrical engineering.
He was a volunteer board member for the Brookfield Theater of Arts for several years. The theater is located in the historic Curtis School for Boys gymnasium building in Brookfield, located within the Brookfield Center Historic District. It hosts a variety of entertainment events, such as films, plays, and musical performances.
An Avid Outdoorsman
Outside of his professional pursuits, Brian enjoys hiking and exploring the scenic trails of the
Northeast and beyond, often accompanied by his dog, Oakley. Taking the time to experience nature rejuvenates Brian and helps fuel his creativity in his work.
